A close encounter between two of the front runners in division two saw home side Upnor B emerge 6-4 winners against Luton IV. Marylyn Dudgeon was player of the night inflicting a season's first reverse on Scott Whale, before accounting for Steve Reeves and Sandra Parkes. Shahab Raza chipped in with wins against Sandra and Steve, with Dave Gracey contributing point number six against a luckless Sandra. For the visitors Scott won two and Steve beat Dave 11-9 in the fifth leg of game nine, before the two combined to nick the doubles, again 11-9 in the decider
