Northumberland Table Tennis update
Junior team
Arran Kent, Simon Knopf and Blair Carmichael represented the Northumbria League in the first round of matches in the Junior National League at Ormesby. With 15 points from three matches they are in the top five.
Veterans British League
The Border Reivers team of Geoff Salter, Jim Stamas, Richard Wilson and Dale Aitkenhead won one, drew two and lost two in the first round of division 2B. They beat PSP Insurance, drew with Draycott and Long Eaton and with Wolves Vets, losing out to Cippenham and Fusion.
Cramlington Junior 2 Star Tournament – At Cramlington on 1st November 2014
League Fees – two clubs still to pay! A reminder that a surcharge is made after 31st October 2014
Handicap Cup – draw for round one has been circulated. A reminder that failure to play will result in forfeiture of the Guarantee fee. Results to be sent to Alan Hedley by the winning teams.
Northumbria League – There are nine postponed matches already, five of them in the Premier Division! A full list is as follows:
Premier:  Riding Mill A v NECA A       Byker A v Casuals  NECA A v Byker A   NESLC Eagles v YMCA N.Tyneside A   Springwell A v  Cramlington Stingers
    NECA A and Byker A cannot postpone or agree to a postponement of any further matches until one of their outstanding ones has been played
Division One:  Seaburn Dene v North Fire A            Division Two:  Ouston A v O.E. Crocks (Rearranged)    Newton B v Springwell B
Division Three: Sacriston Comets v NESLC Codgers   Division Four – None
There are two weeks for rearranged fixtures and Handicap cup games – If possible try to rearrange in these weeks rather than in the Christmas break.
Dale is keeping the league tables up to date daily and so far nearly all results are coming in on the day after the match. Well done but please remember to send them to me as well as stated on the result sheets.
This makes life easier for me when compiling the weekly copy for our regular column in the Evening Chronicle on Wednesdays.
