The Mount A team retained their unbeaten record in the Premier Division of the Northumbria League despite having to field a weakened team when they visited Saint Chads. Graeme Barella kept up his fine form with three singles victories, having lost only one all season, Anthony Ainley got two and they combined to take the doubles set and win the match 6 - 4 with reserve Alan Livingstone fighting hard without winning any sets. Chris Blake won two for the Saints.
Their B team were also involved in a close match but lost out 4 - 6 to Cramlington Stingers for whom James Bradley got a hat trick
Mount C who are top of the first division also had to fight hard for a 6 - 4 success over Mitford with Dan Dodds winning all of his sets as well as the doubles partnered by Bailey Pye.
The Chinese Association B team had a frustrating night in the same division as Ke Ming Li, Harry Saxton and Yu Chim Li had given them a 5 - 1 lead over Prudhoe B and Saxton and Terry Kwong were 8 - 3 up in the deciding end of the doubles when the area was hit by a power cut and the match was abandoned.
The top two teams in Division Two continued their winning ways with Brandon Anacondas coming away from Mount D with a 6 - 4 victory and Matfen Senators beating Tyneside B by the same score.
In Division three Barry Matthews has been defeated only once so far this season and another three wins helped his team Old England FATTS to stay unbeaten and on top of the table as they accounted for Cramlington Ravens 7 - 3.
Hat tricks from Jamie Milroy and Duncan Hindmarsh helped Ouston C to a 9 - 1 win in Division Four over Cramlington Knights and they already look certain to return to the third division, having been relegated last year.
