In Division 1 the top two teams St Chads and Mount A both had straightforward wins this week. St Chads easily overcame Matfen Senators with a 9-1 win to maintain their position at the top of the table. Chris Blake and Keith Weatherby were both in good form for St Chads winning their respective three games; Dave Bissett contributed with two wins. Alex Holliday gained the consolation point for Matfen. Mount A defeated Cramlington Casuals with Adam Webster and Jamie Dent winning their three games; Dan Dodds contributed with two wins. Steve Pearce gained the consolation point for Cramlington. In a closer game Brandon Air edged out Prudhoe with a 6-4 win. Jamie Lupton was player of the match for Brandon winning his three games and was supported by Richard Johnson who won two games.
In Division 2 a top of the table clash saw Mount B prove too strong for the North East Chinese Association with a 10-0 win. Despite a number of close games Dan Dodds, Rod Roberts and Bailey Pye all won their three games. Mount B are now virtually assured of winning the Division 2 title.Tyneside TTC A secured a 7-3 win over Backspin TTC Awith Mark Patterson and Mark Kimberley both winning their three games. In the third game Old England came out on top in a close game with Durham Bombers. Old England won 7-3with Lynne Herrington winning three games, Joe Perrin two games and Barry Hill one game.
In Division 3 with Cramlington Cobras not playing this week Mount C took advantage and went to top spot with a 7-3 win over Cramlington Spartans. John Rowell was player of the match winning three games for Mount with Michael Bradley winning two games and William Edwards one game. The Cramlington points were gained by Oliver Ho who won two games and Alan Hedley who won one. In their second game of the week Mount C had a straightforward 9-1 win over Matfen Tribunes. Charlie Mouzon and William Edwards both won their three games; and Michael Bradley won two games. The Matfen point was gained by Nigel Tree. In the third gameCramlington Trojans slipped to fourth place after losing to Brandon Bullets 7-3. Brandon moved into third place thanks Jamie Westwater with three wins, Paul Dale with two wins and Alan Perry with one win.
In Division 4 despite suffering their first defeat of the season Cramlington Corinthians remain in top place. The Cramlington Ravens team of Israel Shoedinde, Jack Cairns and Alan Roskilly proved too strong for the Corinthians team of Adrian Barnes, Sam Nair and Jamie Hall in a 7-3 win. The defeat for the Corinthians opened the door for Durham Comets and Ouston A to make up ground on the league leaders. The two teams played each other and Durham Comets won a close games 6-4. Peter Whitfield was player of the match winning his three games with Luke Dumighan and Oliver Wilkinson winning one game each. The Ouston points were gained by Jeff McKenna and Andy Harris who won two games each. In their second game of the week Ouston Aovercame Cramlington Dynamos 9-1. Duncan Hindmarsh and Jamie Milroy both won their three games with Shirley Robson winning two games. In a closer games Tyneside TTC C drew 5-5 with Backspin TTC B. Paul Conn was player of the match for Tyneside winning two games.
In Division 5 with Cramlington Jaguars not playing MatfenCohorts took the opportunity to move back to top spot with an 8-2 win over Ouston B. Mark Perrin was player of the match for Matfen winning three games; and was supported by Dave Swan and Linda Pinkham who both won two games. Cramlington Dragons had a straightforward 9-1 win over Cramlington Magpies. The Dragons team of Aubrey Drapkin, Pauline Long and Paul Athey proved too strong for their opponents with the consolation win for the Magpies gained by Sara Haddi. Backspin C had an 8-2 win over Cramlington Knights. Graham Burton and Robert Park were in good form for Backspin winning their three games with Robert Cook winning one game. The Cramlington points came from Julian Manuel and Steve Gibson.
