In the Premier Division there were just two games this week. NECA A had a straightforward 10-0 win over Mount A with Adam Webster, Lee Tinkler and Martin Schapira proving too strong for their opponents. The game of the night saw Jamie Dent take a 2-0 lead against Martin Schapira only for Martin Schapira to win the next 3 ends and take the win. The second game of the week was much closer with St Chads coming out on top against Old England Jacks with a 6-4 win; Chris Blake was player of the match winning three games for St Chads with Keith Weatherby winning two games and the pair combining to win the doubles.
In Division 1 Ouston A moved into second place after a 6-4 win in a close game over Prudhoe United Services B. Bernie Morris and Jon Mawson both won two games each for Ouston and combined to win the doubles, with Tom Fowle adding the other win. Prudhoe’s points came from two wins by Maurice Cheek and a win apiece for Jordan Dove and Ryan Campbell. In the other game of the week Mount C had a straightforward 8-2 win over Cramlington Tigers. Alan Livingstone was player of the march for Mont winning three games with Michael Bradley also winning three games and Karen Henry two games.
In Division 2 there was just one re-arranged game this week. Cramlington Swifts despite being only able to field two players earned a 6-4 win over Mount D. Richard Williamson was player of the match for the Swifts winning his three games with Phil Teah-Smith winning two games and the pair winning the doubles.
In Division 3 Stocksfield C moved back into top spot with an 8-2 win over Cramlington Magpies. Mark Perrin was player of the match for Stocksfield winning three games with Richard Rayfield and David Crompton both winning two games each. There were two all- Cramlington games this week. The Cramlington Dynamos team of Daniel Gazerani-Lopez, Jonthan Javita-Calle and Mikey Block were two strong for a Magpies team who were only able to field two players coming away with a 10-0 win. The other game between Cramlington Dragons and Cramlington Cobras saw the Cobras take a 4-1 lead with two wins by Steve Ralph, one by Alan Hedley and the doubles. However, the Dragons’ Pauline Long, Adrian Barnes and Mark Gee each won their next game to level the scores at 4-4. Steve Ralph won the ninth game to take player of the match and move the Cobras into a 5-4 lead. The final game between Pauline Long and Alan Hedley saw Alan Hedley take a 2-1 lead only for Pauline Long to win the final two ends, win the game and earn a draw for her team.
