In the Premier Division there were just two games this week. St Chads had a straightforward 8-2 win over Cramlington Casuals with Richard Wilson player of the match with three wins for St Chads supported by Paul Baines and Chris Blake who both won two games each. Duncan Wraight secured the two wins for Cramlington beating Paul Baines and Chris Blake. Cramlington Stingers had a 6-4 win over Newcastle University with Steve Pearce and Nigel Rodgers both winning two games each and Gareth Pearson one game. The University’s Ben Savage was player of the match winning three games.
In Division 1 Mount B kept themselves in top place with a 9-1 win over Prudhoe United Services Club B with Lee Eadington and Alan Livingstone both winning three games. Prudhoe’s win came from Troy Maddison who defeated Dean Eadington. With just two games to play Mount B look to have an unassailable lead at the top of the division. Third placed Cramlington Falcons kept up the pressure on second placed Old England Nomads after a 9-1 win against Cramlington Tigers. Oliver Ho and Anth Doyle both won three games for the Falcons with the Tigers win coming from Leo Conn who was playing up for the Tigers beating Alan Roskilly. NECA B proved too strong for Mount C with NECA’s Ken Lee, Terry Kwong and Jamie Collins all winning their games in a 10-0 win.
In Division 2 Brandon Bravehearts maintained top place with a 7-3 win over Cramlington Spartans, and with a game in hand over their nearest rivals look likely to win the division. Steve Pattinson was again player of the match winning three games for Brandon but Leo Conn played well for the Spartans winning two games against Paul Dale and David Brown. Ouston B moved into second place after an 8-2 win over Cramlington Reivers. Michael Lyons was player of the match with three wins for Ouston including a good win against Bernie McArdle. Tyneside B dropped into third place after a 5-5 draw against Mount D with Mount’s Joe Miller player of the match with three wins. Cramlington Swifts beat Stocksfield B with the Swifts’ Richard Williamson and Phillip Teah-Smith both winning three games and Rob Lee winning two games.
There were only two matches this week in Division 3 both of which involved Cramlington teams playing each other. The match between Cramlington Cobras and Cramlington Dragons ended in a 5-5 draw with Joe Hastings player of the match winning three games for the Cobras. The second match was a 7-3 win for Cramlington Dynamos against Cramlington Magpies. Daniel Gazerani-Lopez was player of the match winning three games for the Dynamos incud9ng two close games that went to five ends against Joel Dyter and Warren Ayre.
