Northumberland’s Senior County Team was in action in Senior Division 1A this weekend at Draycott TTC. With a packed schedule of seven matches to be played over two days, this was always going to be a testing weekend.

Northumberland was represented by James Bradbury, Paul Baines, Anthony Doyle and Lynsey Storey; with James and Anthony proudly making their county debut. Against very strong opposition the Team were unlucky not to secure Division 1 County Table Tennis next season, despite their best efforts. Well done to everyone who took part in an enjoyable weekend of very competitive Table Tennis which saw Yorkshire promoted to the Premier Division.

The County Veteran’s Team will travel to Ormesby on Saturday 2nd December for the first round of matches. The selected team will be captained by Anthony Ainley, with Iain Wood, Paul Baines and Christine Burke completing the squad.
