To let those interested Bill’s funeral will be at Saltwell Crematorium on Tuesday the 12th March at Noon and then at Heworth Golf club afterwards 

I would like to share the very sad news that Bill Brown passed away this morning after a long illness. Bill was an active player in the Northumbria League representing 'Electrics' in the 70's, 'Jarrow CA' in the 80's before going on to play for 'Whitehouse Lane' and 'Old England'. Bill was also a qualified County Umpire and officiated at several County events. Bill will always be remembered as a true gent who always had time for everyone, and everything he did was done with a smile. Sincere condolences go to his wife, Maureen, who cared for him over the past few years. RIP Bill-you will be missed by all of those whose lives you touched.
