Long standing Standish A and Wigan League player, Terry Smith is planning to undertake an arduous journey. He intends, along with his young daughter, Poppy, to canoe from West to East coast of England along 162 miles of inland waterways.
They are not doing this in one single trip but will spread it over the course of a year. He has already done the first six miles, so not long to go! You could almost say it is To Hull and Back, but of course I won't.
He is doing this to support ME Research UK, an organisation close to Terry's heart as his wife suffers from the debilitating illness.
