Dragons travelled to Hey Jude Stadium on this icy November night, could the Dragons warm things up and win for the first time at Hey Jude or would Pirates win again as usual.
Team info in the three amigo’s Wee Man Cantlie, Crazy Keith and Surf the Murph for Pirates against the old stalwarts for Dragons Galeforce, Owdmon and Pugwash.
The Wee Man put away Galeforce 3 nil, writing already on the wall. Crazy up two nil and things going completely wrong for Dragons. Puggy puts his Andre Smith look on and fights
back to take a close contest in the fifth. Surf the Murph beats Owdmon 3 – 1 in another very close match, the luck was against Owdmon who had already been given the run around by his dog in the morning. Score 8 – 4 Pirates.
Galeforce finally got fired up and beat Crazy 3 nil and Owdmons luck was completely out when going down 3 – 1 to the Wee man.
Garfin / Smith combo beat Cantlie / Dootson 3 – 1 in doubles which seemed to spark off some fine TT by the Dragons. Puggy and Owdmon both winning 3 zip against Surf and
Crazy. Surf the Murph came back on to beat Galeforce 3-2 and Pugwash rounded off a great night with a 3 – 1 win against Wee Man to take the MoM award.
Final score Pirates 16 Dragons 22 the locals couldn’t believe it.
No pies left so Owdmon vacated the premises in disgust (still a piemon at heart) which left Galeforce and Pugwash to answer claims of drug use from the Jude locals. Luckily the
questions they asked were aimed at Pugwash “have you any black or ash” they thought he was the Welsh drug Baron Barrie Bree.
