I am sorry to have to report the sad news of the death of Doug Young. Doug was involved in table tennis at local, national and international level for over 60 years and passed away on February 10.
Doug retired as Chairman of the Worcestershire County Table Tennis Association in 2016. He was also, at different times, Secretary, Chairman and President of the Worcester League, a National Councillor of the English Table Tennis Association, a National and International Umpire and a Referee of Commonwealth, European and World Championships. He also took charge, as Referee, of numerous English Senior National Championships.

Charities in dad’s memory: Ronald McDonald House Charities – they provide free ‘home from home’ accommodation to families with children in hospital and RSPB, because dad loved his garden birds and was a member of RSPB as he wanted to help nature.
