An enjoyable night's tennis against the jovial Stanley Sq C! some close games, particularly between Alan Darnell and Ian Robinson, and Dave Clark and Ian Robinson, both going to five sets in favour of the St Sq man. The evening's proceedings were eventually decided by Alan Darnell and Dave Clark coming back from two sets down in the doubles to beat messrs Robinson and Bartlett. Alan Shepherd's form for the Knights was superb and a joy to watch as he won all three of his singles.
