Following positive feedback from the recent newsletter it is intended, given the interest and commitment from you, to run an early summer pairs league with all matches taking place at Teign School during our normal Friday night club session. Commencing 1st April 2022

The aim of this competition is to provide a friendly, sporting and enjoyable league for those wishing to continue playing competitive table tennis once the league season is completed during the early summer months.
Teams should consist of 2 or 3 committed players. (2 players for each match)
5 Sets (4 singles, 1 doubles) the best of 5 games up to 11, with a point awarded for each set won.
A simple handicap system will operate, based on league performance (if applicable), +2 points / division. Non-league players will be assessed (SD& TTTL averages - over 75% will be classed as division higher, under 25% will be classed in division lower).
A player may be registered on the night of the match at the discretion of the organiser.
For this to work we need a commitment. Only 1 postponement will be permitted / team.
There will be no team entry fee, but normal £5 session fee applies (£3 for juniors)
First round of matches will commence on Friday 1st April 2022, 7pm and will run weekly throughout April, May & possibly June
By mutual agreement matches may be played during the following Saturday morning session.
Team contacts will be given a fixture list.
Fixtures, results, league tables etc will be posted on the Newton Abbot TTC website.
This competition is open to players from other clubs who are prepared to play to a high standard of integrity and sportsmanship, and is also open to non-league players although a Table Tennis England Player membership is required.
If you wish to be involved but don’t have a partner/team I will do my best to team you up with others in a similar situation.
A minimum of 8 committed pairs/teams will be required to successfully run this event.
