Congratulations to James Kitchen who defeated Fin Humphreys in an excellent match to lift the Don Blatchford cup.

Two of our best juniors put on a terrific display of open attacking table tennis.

Fin started well hitting some excellent forehand winners to take the first two games 11-6, 11-5, and go 2-0 up.  James responded, picking up his game, and Fin struggled to hit those big forehands, or if he did James returned them. Next two games to James 11-8, 11-3. So into the fifth set decider with James starting well.  James got in front and Fin was always struggling to stay with him as James’s forehand attack rarely missed. James took the final game 11-7.  

An excellent final with many great rallies.  Well done to both.
