These Three Mikes went to play in a table tennis match sounds as if it may be the opening line of a politically incorrect joke.

The joke was on the Pasties however , as Mike Credland , Mike Evetts and Mike Klein lost 9-1 to a resurgent JLM Falcons.

Falcons fielded a strong outfit comprising Luke Moffat , Steve Cull and Doug Payne , a trio abetted by Joe Cull who successfully partnered Luke in a five set doubles win.

Two other sets went to five ends , Doug Paynes win over Mike Evetts , and Mike Credlands win over the same player, the only Pasty success of the evening.  

An enjoyable match played in the excellent conditions of Wallace House, a multi table venue which may well prove to be the template for the continuing survival of local league table tennis.
