Henley A entertained Ashorne this week (last week - Ed.) when Nigel Payne debuted in style winning all his matches including the doubles. The evening was full of excitement, mostly provided by suicidal flies dropping on the table mid-rally and an assortment of butterflies and moths pirouetting round the room.
Geoff introduced his new homemade plastic bitcoin (a gift from an old chum - Ed.) instead of the usual 2p to decide play! Inovation and style at its best.
Henley notched up a steady run of wins, many going to 4 games and one to 5. Final score 8-2 in favour of Henley. Captain Roger Pye and Mark Bridgeman gaining a point each for Ashorne. Congratulations to Nigel for 'Man of the Match' on your first time at our glorious venue.
