Match Report

Henley 'A' fielded their classic team when facing Cavaliers last night.

Henley missing their new regular Nigel Payne who was celebrating a milestone in sunnier climes. Henley's sumptuous venue looked a little under par as one by one, the industrial heaters refused to play ball, their dead carcasses littering the floor like a WW2 battlefield.

Some amazing sporting battles ensued with both sides giving full vent to their big hitting top-spin styles. Long and exciting rallies between Quince  and Cull Senior were worthy of any exhibition match! Cavaliers piled on the damage and the scoreline rose inexorably to a 10-0 conclusion.

Father and son Steve and Joe had claimed the doubles in style, despite an early streak by Henley in the first game before losing 10-12. Player of the match goes to Steve Cull who conceded only 34 points in his 9 singles. Well done Steve.
