With great sadness, we announce the passing of Sandy Duncan, a long time member of our association.

Sandy was a constant during my time playing table tennis, over the years I got to know him quite well, regularly chatting away during sessions at Westhill. Sandy reminded me of my own grandfather, always smiling and laughing, he always made everyone feel welcome. On the table Sandy had a reputation of being a little lucky, getting a few nets and edges, I think this stemmed from his pen hold grip which is very unusual these days. Personally I feel you make your own luck so it always resulted in some laughs when he acknowledged some of his more creative shots using the net or edges. Everyone at WTTC sends our condolences to the family and that we will miss him greatly.

Neil Paterson WTTC and ADTTA Match Secretary
