New South West Training Camps Set to Boost Talent Development - Table Tennis England

Not mentioned in the blog post a SW Area plan was published unannounced in late October

Local Delivery Plans south west

The plan was discussed at the Bristol Executive Meeting on Monday but appears to be little more than a set of headings on a pretty power point style slide. Bristol is apparently going to be one of the Community Table Tennis Partnerships but there is no mention in the slide about whether this is happening or going to happen and what work is required and who will be involved. There has been no request for the Bristol League to be involved with the Bristol CTTP.

There may or may not be a Southwest Organising group still operating for the region but if it is it appears to be run in secret.

The latest blog post by Amanda. She does appear to be having a serious go at communicating to and engaging with the area. If people are interested in becoming a coach then please note the courses in the article.

South West - March 2024 - Table Tennis England

There is still no sign of a Local Delivery Plan for the South West which we were originally told would be available last October. However from what has happened in other areas they appear to be nothing more than a pretty power point slide which was described by a member of the Bristol Executive as "thin" so we are probably not missing much.

Area Networks Explained - Table Tennis England

Previous post from 6th March below.

It appears that the Area Managers are now publishing blog posts on a regular basis.

Unfortunately it is common practice for TTE to publish information in obscure back corners of their web site and then fail to inform people it is there. This appears to be the case with these blogs so I am drawing peoples attention to them otherwise nobody will read them..

The latest blog by Amanda mentions a level 2 coaching course to be run at SGS by Emma Harradine in July.

There is also a level 1 course at Nailsworth in May which is sufficiently close to Bristol that it may be of interest to Bristol members and potential coaches.

Southwest February 2024 - Table Tennis England

A previous post provides a background for Amanda who joined TTE in January.
