The First South West Junior Training Days

Dear all

Thank you for your feedback on the South West Training Days.

Nick Davidson has organised the first dates with support from host clubs and venues.

As mentioned previously this is a pilot season and feedback at all stages is welcomed.

The aim:-

To strengthen Under 18 County Squads

By training members who are NOT involved in high level national competitions (NOT competing in the Youth British Leagues).

If you have a particular skill / technique that you would like to focus on please let us know.

Allocation of places

Each county will be allocated 5 places on each day to nominate players they believe will benefit the most from the opportunity.  (There may be places available

They can be the same players or different each date.

The age of youth players is up to each county to decide.

If any county does not use their full allocation we will open up the places.

A mix of male & female players please.

If you know of a facility (min 12 tables) and / or a coach that may be interested in running a training day please let me know.

The Cost

£35 per player

We request that counties collect the funds.

The goal is to cover costs and keep the price low. Counties can subsidise places if they wish.

How to sign up:-

Please collate a list of players including the age and gender, and email to  Amanda.leonard@tabletennisengland.co.uk

I’ll send confirmation and request further details such as medical conditions and emergency contact details nearer the time.

Please can you return nominations for the first one ASAP.  The deadline for the first session is 4th November, this is to allow time to invite further attendees if counties do not use their full quote.  It is worth having a list of reserves should places become available.

If you have any questions or comments please let me know.

Regards

Amanda
