Volunteer Umpires wanted for the Junior British League event being held at the new Derby Arena (next to Pride Park) on 17th & 18th October.

Richard and Brenda Hudson (organisers of the JBL) have said that they are short of 6-10 umpires for the event.

Mike Payne would be pleased to hear from any players that would like to go on an "Table Tennis England Umpires Course". No dates have been fixed but, if sufficient numbers were interested, Mike could arrange something.

The Derby West Indian Community Centre in Trinity Street, Derby would be interested in talking to any team/club wishing to use their hall. I am informed they have a good, well lit hall but their table is not up to match standard. Anyone interested please ring 01332 371529

It is with regret that I have to inform you that Simon Bentley passed away whilst playing table tennis last night.

Any clubs/individuals wishing to propose any rule amendments must send these by 31st March, to our General Secretary Aubrey Henry in accordance with Rule 11 in the handbook. They will then be listed in the AGM notice sent to all clubs.
