The two teams who have consistently vied for the league title will contest the first ever playoff after finishing with identical records.

Henley Pasties wrapped up their programme with an impressive maximum against Blazing Paddles. Mike Credland, Tom Shortley and Mike Evetts lost only two singles games, although Shortley and Evetts had to overcome an early deficit to claim the doubles in the only contest to go the full distance.

Meanwhile, despite winning 8-2, Shottery A’s title hopes were dented by Tanworth Taipans’ Ben Rycroft-Stanley. In the most keenly contested set of the fixture he let slip a two game lead over Stephen Foster before securing the decider in style. Rycroft-Stanley followed that with victory over Graham Poole, thereby eradicating the reigning champions' slender lead in the table.

Henley B gained a narrow 6-4 victory over their hosts Shottery C, with five of the sets going to the wire. Rob McCluskey was unlucky not to add to the visitors' score after being defeated in the fifth by both Rob Poole and Kevin Taylor, whilst Stuart Latham-Marr lost in a similar manner to Taylor. It was a long night for Taylor who was also on the wrong end of marathon contests with Dave Milton and in the concluding doubles. Poole and Taylor shared the hosts' four victories, with Latham-Marr and Milton earning braces for their opponents, and McCluskey adding their other singles.

Henley B enjoyed an 8-2 victory against West Warwicks when Latham-Marr was undefeated despite letting a two game lead over Andy Rowland slip away before edging home in the decider. Milton and McCluskey each recorded two successes but lost out to Rowland and Alison Stewart respectively.

When they wrapped up their fixture backlog by visiting Tanworth Taipans Henley B were only able to field two players but, although each lost out to Mick Welsh, McCluskey and Milton again notched braces and combined to claim the doubles to ensure the spoils were shared.
