It is with sadness that we have to report the death of Terry on 30th. December 2017.
Terry was for very many years a stalwart both of Wigan St. John's and the Wigan Table Tennis League which he served as a committee member as well as a player.
Congratulations to Hannah Burrows !
At the weekend she entered her first Grand Prix Tournament at Tipton - these are the next stage after leaving juniors and all the top players in the country enter.
She came runner up in the Band 4 ladies, losing to only 1 player all day.
Will all teams who go to play at Rainford Scout hut please note that the hut is in use by the Scouts until 7p.m.
The Scouts then clean the room before table tennis starts.
Table Tennis England have awarded our very own Owdmon (David Mawdesley) the prestigious award of Volunteer of the Year 2017 for his 57 years involvement in the Wigan & District TT Leagues which all started at Dovetail Youth Club at St Nathaniel's Platt Bridge.

Leigh St Georges senior section have been presented with a cheque for £1197 which has been used to purchase 3 new Butterfly Easifold tables. The tables are now installed and gratefully being played on.

In June every year the top young players in the country are invited to play in the National Championships. These are the top 22 in U10/U11 and top 46 in U12/U13
Unfortunately, it has been necessary to postpone this year's AGM until Thursday, May 18th at Hindley St. Peter's commencing at 8pm.
THERE IS NO MEETING ON 16 MARCH
Any proposed amendments to the rules may now be submitted to the Secretary before Thursday, April 20th.
The semi final draws have been made and are shown in the League KO section under Information.
Matches are to be played in week commencing 6 March 2017 at the venue of the first named team in each match.
This year's knockouts are scheduled to be played at Platt Bridge with a 7:30pm start - anyone entered but not at the venue by 8pm will be scratched from the event.
