2015 09 10 Pre season Council Agenda.docx
Dear Team Captains, Club and League Officials,
There will be a Pre Season Council Meeting on Thursday 10 September, 7.30 pm, at Ibis Sports and Social Club. The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the make up of the League for this coming season.
The agenda is attached above.
You will see that Item 14 on the Agenda is Safeguarding. Table Tennis England recommend that all clubs and leagues adopt the TTE Safeguarding Policy and Guidelines unchanged. The relevant TTE document (Safeguarding Guidelines 2014) can be found on the link below.
It is quite a long document, but the League can simply adopt it as our own policy by voting as such at a League meeting. I suggest you have a look at the document and then we can discuss it at the meeting and if appropriate vote on the matter. I also recommend that you discuss this at your clubs with a view to adopting the document there also. My understanding is that the League and also the Clubs will each have to appoint their own Welfare Officers.
