Following government and TTE advice concerning the COVID-19 virus the league has cancelled the League Tournament, Junior Tournament, Finals Night and KO Cup Final

Finals Night and Trophy presentation, 6.30 to 10pm, Tuesday 31 March 2020, Village Hall, Natland 

Order of Play

Supper will be after event 4.  Please all bring something for a Jacob's Join supper (sandwiches, crisps, quiche, cheese, salad, cakes, biscuits etc etc.)  If you wish bring your own alcoholic drinks and glasses.  Natland and Oxenholme TT Club will serve cups of tea and coffee at a small charge. 

Spectators are very welcome.

Completed entry forms should be returned to Mick Taylor, Compton House, Natland, Kendal, LA9 7QQ, or via email to micktaylor1502@yahoo.co.uk no later than Monday, 16th March.  Confirmation will be sent by email. If you have no email address, please send a S.A.E. A copy of the entry form will also be available on the KDDTL website.       

Tournament information

1.       No entries will be accepted after the draw has been made.

2.       IMPORTANT - A condition of entry is that players must be available to play in the final on Finals’ Night.

3.       The referee reserves the right to cancel or amend any event.

4.       The draw will take place shortly after the closing date for entries.

5.       You will be informed by email or by return post of the time of your first match.  Please arrive at least 30 minutes before this.  A schedule of play will be available on the morning of the tournament.

6.       Admission to Kirkby Stephen Grammar School is free to all players and spectators.

7.       MOST singles competitions will be played in groups. Doubles and Handicap Singles will be played as a Knock Out Competition.

8.       Draw sheets and results will be displayed in the Hall.  These will be kept as up to date as possible.

9.       Spectators are welcome.

10.    League matches due to be played on Tuesday, 31st March should be re-arranged if any players are in the finals.

11.    Trophies will be presented at the end of each final.

PLAYERS SHOULD CHECK THEIR HANDICAPS ARE CORRECT BEFORE PLAY

 

TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS 

  1. Every entrant must be a member of the Kendal and District Table Tennis League.
  2. Players entering the junior event must have been born on or after 1st January 2002 and Veterans on or before 1st January 1980.
  3. Matches will be played up to “3 games” or the “best of 5 games” at the discretion of the organisers.  All games will be played to 11 points.
  4. All competitors will be required to umpire matches.
  5. Competitors must report to Control on arrival and should not leave the hall without first obtaining permission from the Referee.  Players absent when called upon to play are liable to be scratched.
  6. Please conform to ETTA Regulations regarding dress, bat covering, conduct etc.
  7. Timeouts will not be allowed in this tournament.
