It is with enormous sadness that we have to announce the passing of one of our league's greatest characters. John passed away earlier this week after his recent battle with illness.
John was a formidable player and at his peak was Burnham Singles Champion in 2012/13, and was still competing at the highest level this year.
In time, and in conjunction with his family and the Mapledene TTC, we will provide a fuller obituary and details of his funeral arrangements.
All we can do today is remember John with fondness on and off the table, and remind ourselves of the number of times he beat us all!!
