The Maidstone Table Tennis 2023/2024 season closed with Kingshill ‘C’ winning the Allen Cooper Team event infront of a large crowd at the Larkfield Club on 17.4.2024.
Alan Morton gave Sutton Valence a 3–1 lead with two well fought wins, his excellent defence contributed to some long, exciting rallies as he was able to overcome 0–12 starts with wins against Hugh O’Neill 21-19, 21-20 and Nick Cabera 21-20, 21-18. Nigel Hammond also contributed to the Sutton Valence lead with the closest possible win over Nick Cabera 21-19, 19-21, 21-20. But then it was all Kingshill winning the last five matches for a 6-3 win. Joe Boyle was Kingshill star winning all three of his matches, ably supported by Hugh O’Neill (two wins) and Nick Cabera (one win).

A special thanks to all that those turned out to support the finals and make a great evening for the players.
Also, many thanks to the Larkfield club, and its members, for staging the event and setting out the hall and
organising the refreshments.

Larkfield C beat T T Traders B in the Plate Final 6-3. With two wins a piece from Steve Konrad, Michael Parkinson, and Chris Jeffrey. Very much like the main event Traders were unable to capitalise on their strong 3-2 start given to them by two wins from Leigh Hickey and Larkfield fought back for a well deserved 6-3 victory.
