Champions past and present descend on Aberdeen Table Tennis tournament.

This is a new league sponsored by Strategic Resources for 8 up-and-coming youngsters to give some of them their first taste of competitive TT. The league will run every Monday until February. The results can now be seen on this website as a separate League under the Fixtures and Results tab. The league will be decided on player averages which take account of the number of games each player has won.

Aberdeen Sports Village Academy players made an early season impact at national level when the first Junior Grand Prix of the Scottish TT season was held at Perth.

There were 14 participants in the Aberdeen Qualifying event, held on Friday 10th October at the Westburn Lounge, and it seems that players and spectators all had an enjoyable evening of exciting table tennis. As well as being aimed at determining the local “Hard Bat” Champion for 2014-15 the event was an eliminator for the Scottish Heat of the WC of PP scheduled for Saturday 6th December at Drumchapel High School.

Thanks to all who have advised they wish to enter the above tournament at the Westburn Park Lounge this Friday. Play will commence at 6.30pm so please be there at least 10 minutes beforehand to ensure you are included in the draw ! Having tried out the bats that will be used, it promises to be a fun evening !
