This event is open to all senior and junior B&DTTA registered members and normally lasts for about six or seven hours. The identical bats provided always prove a great leveller on the day and almost anyone can win one of the two events that are scheduled. For example, in January 2013 a player from Division 7 beat a Premier Division player in the Plate Competition final.

HARD BAT COMPETITION
Following a break due to the Covid restrictions, our annual event will resume in 2023.
It will be played on Sunday 15th January 2023 at the Bristol CSSC. Filton Avenue. BS7 0AT.
The competition is open to all Senior and Junior members of the Bristol League (BDTTA)
The club doors will open at 9am for practice and the competition will start at 9-30am.
A selection of refreshments will be available for purchase.
Only the identical bats provided may be used, to ensure that the competition remains as fair as possible.
The initial matches will be on a group basis followed by further groups and knockout competitions. This will be divided into the main event and a plate event, to ensure that everyone has plenty of games during the day.
All games will be 21 up and the best of 3. Winner by 2 clear points will apply.
The Entry fee is £10 and should be sent by cheque to T Toghill 34, Adderly Gate, Emersons Green, Bristol. BS16 7EA. Made payable to “ BRISTOL AND DISTRICT TABLE TENNIS ASSOCIATION”
Payment can also be taken via the league Bank account. (Details provided if required).
Finally, Cash can be paid with the entry details to T Toghill or Duncan Jones (by Hand only)
