NEWTON ABBOT TABLE TENNIS CLUB – THE PARKHOUSE PAIRS LEAGUE

The aim of this competition is to provide a friendly, sporting and enjoyable league for those wishing to continue playing competitive table tennis during the early summer months once the league season is completed. All matches will take place at Teign School during our normal Friday night club session. Commencing Friday 26th April 2024
Teams should consist of 2, 3 or 4 committed players. (2 players for each match)
5 Sets (4 singles, 1 doubles) the best of 5 games up to 11, with a point awarded for each set won.
A simple handicap system will operate, based on league performance (if applicable), +2 points / division. Non-league players will be assessed (SD& TTTL averages - over 75% will be classed as division higher, under 25% will be classed in division lower. Previous winners will get an extra 2 point penalty).
For this to work we need a commitment. Only 2 postponements will be permitted / team.
There will be no team entry fee, but normal £5 session fee applies (£3 for juniors).
First round of matches will commence on Friday 26th April 2024, 6:45pm and will run weekly throughout April, May and June.
Team contacts will be given a fixture list.
Fixtures, results, league tables etc will be posted on the Newton Abbot TTC website.
This competition is open to players from other clubs who are prepared to play to a high standard of integrity and sportsmanship, and is also open to non-league players.
If you wish to be involved but don’t have a partner/team I will do my best to team you up with others in a similar situation.
