Chelmsford A can thank third-placed Danbury B for helping to keep their title dreams alive as they ran out winners over leaders Danbury C - Sam Lowman fired a treble and there were two wins from Matthew Stringer in a 6-4 victory.

Galleywood C continued their late-season charge and now sit in second position in division three following a 9-1 home win over bottom side Writtle E.

Second placed Chelmsford A’s 7-3 loss at Danbury B would have given much pleasure to division one leaders Danbury C who look to be odds-on to lift the 2024/2025 title. Danbury’s Sam Lowman was in great form as his three victories along with Dan Anderson’s brace helped the fourth-placed B team close the gap to their opponents to just six points.

There were three one-sided results in division one this week as leaders Danbury C won 9-1 at Danbury A, second placed Chelmsford A won 9-1 at Chelmsford B and fourth placed Danbury B blasted Writtle A 10-0.

Galleywood A won the battle of the bottom two teams in division one with a 9-1 home victory over Chelmsford B, the result moved Galleywood off the foot of the table for the first time since Week 10. Peter Barrett and James Hicks went undefeated for the hosts with Kelvin Edeh the sole point scorer for the visitors.

From today (Monday 3 February 2025) there is monitored car parking at the Danbury Leisure Centre Car Parks - however as users of the Village Hall parking is free for us and our guests. All we need to do is register our number plates on the tablet in the village hall - both home and away teams need to do this. Players are covered up to midnight - but if we ever go over that time we just need to register again for the next day.

Ian Whiteside went unbeaten for Danbury F in a 6-4 home loss against division two leaders Buttsbury A. Whiteside had to recover from 2-0 down against David Gatheral for the first of his three wins while there were two other five-gamers -

Number one seed Duncan Taylor earned the 2025 Men’s Singles title at ‘Finals Night’ with a 3-1 victory over Reece Seddon. Taylor beat Chelmsford’s Harry Chivers in the semi-final after victories over Jamie Elliott and Nikita Tkachuck in the earlier knockout rounds.

There were matching 8-2 wins for two of the Danbury teams in division one this week as a Daniel Piggott treble led the B team to victory at Galleywood A while Keith Adams won all three in the C teams away triumph at Chelmsford B.
