The Ready Position
Feet slightly wider than shoulder width.
Bat foot slightly further back than non-bat foot.
Knees slightly bent.
Body leans slightly forward, arms in front of body.
Bat arm bent 90° at the elbow.
Stand an arms-length from the table.
Weight on the front part of your feet, not on your heels.
The bat should be held in front of the body, above the table, ready for easy transfer to forehand or backhand strokes.
