LOWER DIVISIONS KNOCKOUT CUp - Previous seasons

 

2022/23 Tournament

The Lower Divisions Knockout Cup is open to all teams registered in Divisions 3 and 4.

This season the tournament will revert to a DOUBLES event.  Each team can field up to 6 players and each player can play in a maximum of two pairings.  Each set will be best of three games up to eleven.

 

The FINAL of this years LDKO competition was played at OLOP.

2021/22 Tournament

The LDKO final was played on April 27th between Milestone 'A' and OLOP 'D'

The result was a 6 - 3 win for Milestone 'A'

2019/20 Tournament

With only 16 teams entering, this seasons Competition Format will once again be a straight Knockout 

Match Format will again have all 9 sets in each match being doubles sets but with the option of featuring from three to six players on each side, with any individual player restricted to a maximum of two pairings. Please note that each set will be best of 3 [not 5] games, with games being up to 11 points as in league matches.

 

Tidmarsh 'C' received a walkover in the final.

2018/19 Tournament

16 teams entered.

The Trophy has gone to Reading FC 'A' following a excitingly close 5 - 4 victory over Springfield 'B'. With Springfield winning the opening set and sets then shared between the sides, the match finally decided with a Reading 11-8, 7-11, 11-8 win in set nine

2017/18 Tournament  

Our Lady of Peace 'D' have won the Trophy following a 6 - 3 victory over Curzon 'C'.

At three sets each the match was finely balanced before OLOP stepped up a gear to capture the final three sets.

Curzon 'C' beat Springfield 'D'

2016/17 Tournament 

A strong Tidmarsh 'D' side inflicted a first ever defeat on Reading FC 'A' in winning the trophy that Reading currently held.

2015/16 Tournament 

(organised by Duncan Abbott)

The final winners were Reading FC Community Trust who won the Lower Divisions KO Cup at their first attempt.

They went 2-0 up only for Springfield B to pull back to 3-2, but four straight wins gave them a 7-2 triumph Congratulations to the winners: Reading FC Community Trust - who also came first in Division Five for the season.
