Match Report
Good match this evening. Eapen had an interesting time. In the first set he faced Mark and in the 2nd game finding himself 4-10 down he produced some faultless table tennis to bring himself back to 9-10 and serving. Surprising all of us by then serving off the side of the table. Once again in the 5th Mark storms into a 10-4 lead before Eapen, winning 8 points in a row, takes the game 12-10. Mark will be having sleepless nights about that one.
In his 2nd set he faced Graham who played very well. Frustrating Eapen’s attempts to get on top in the rallies with Graham coming out the winner in 4.
In the doubles in the 3rd game once again OLOP found themselves 10-4 up with Eapen going on the charge to bring it back to 9-10. This time it was not to be and OLOP took that game and the following one to close it out and put us 6-1 up.
Niel who had been playing some good shots all evening pulled off a close win as he finally got the hang of Graham’s style to take the last end 11-6.
Eapen’s game against me was more straight forward as I never quite coped with the speed of his shots especially in the 4th game.
In the final game Mark went on the rampage and scored 18 points before dropping 1.
Final score 7-3 OLOP B.
